Subject: LandZone - Morphing Terrain Prop

Although there are some great scene props available for Poser, I always seem to get stuck when I need to incorporate 3D terrain within my scenes. It's often a case of either importing/exporting between other 3D apps or using 2D renders as backdrops, but this isn't always a suitable method.

So recently I started to make a variety of basic static landscapes to use within my Poser environments. But then I thought a more flexible solution would be to have "morphing" versions so I could tweak the shape differently to suit my needs.

Since the meshes can get quite complex and high on filesizes I decided to split them into different "regions", each containing 25 morph targets. Each morph represents an original terrain shape by itself, but you can also mix the dial settings to create many different variations.

It's not exactly like having Bryce within Poser, but it's a start! I hope to create a whole range of different "regions" plus other environment props, so watch out for future releases. If anyone is interested in using such props then please feel free to let me know what kind of features you'd like to see incorporated in them.

I have just submitted the first 2 region packs to the MarketPlace, so if they are approved then they should be available soon. All my products will be priced at the minimum $5 each, by the way.

I have also uploaded a free sampler version for you to try out and see if it suits your requirements. Get it here : http://www.cybia.co.uk/poser/freezone.zip

Here is a sample image containing a render of Region B plus thumbnail images of all the individual morph targets in both packs. Just to give you some idea of what to expect.

Here is a quick test image of the prop (Region A) being used within Poser itself. No post-work on this image (apart from cropping, etc), this is the straight render from Poser.

It shows an example of using the prop to create a small 3D mountain/rock background for the main figure. The sky is just a 2D image mapped onto a backdrop.
