...That I sent this off to my publisher earlier today with the following caption: ****************************** "I'd just arrived at the Convention and was headed up to Registration, when, suddenly, there I was, surrounded by a circle of foxy ladies. A dewy-eyed young vixen asked me to undress. She fluttered her lashes.... What could I do? ...Then they ran off with my shirt!" ********************************** I don't cartoon, but had to do it. :guilty grin: "Inherit the Earth" (a nice game where the animal heroes cooperate to succeed) has been re-released. He has a choice of covers: one with portraits and one with little Poser critters that I hacked together and dressed up. Folks desiring more information about the game can find the manual and screen shots and such on the Wyrmkeep website. I've heard that there is another game out with "furrys" as protagonists, but this is still unusual. However, we also want to put the cover art on T-shirts and coffee cups. I know about cafepress.com, but what are the other companies which do such things? Has anybody here done business with these companies? Carolly

This is my favorite of the two versions. The part I had most fun with was the map. I *love* making maps. If some white mice ever want to hire me to build planets.... :) The Orb of Storms came out decently, too. I needed to make it look quest-worthy, dangerous, and desirable. (Hawkin's crystal ball freebie for answering a survey here plus a lightning transmap - kawecki suggested how to do it - plus Traveler's Prop Club "MagicProp01" for the little sparkles.) Dressing digitigrade critters, OTOH, gave me fits. If we do the sequel, we'll commission someone else to make real models and everyone's lives will be happier. Carolly

Thanks, hauksdottir. Glad you had fun with Furrette and Co. She can wear much of Posette's clothing with a little adjustment, if you're tired of having her walk around pantsless. Version 2.0 is in the works.

I'm giving serious thought to purchasing a copy of Inherit the Earth, and due to my interactions with various online comics I know quite a few furry fanatics who might be interested as well. I'll spread the word. This game deserves a sequel.

I know what you mean about dressing digitigrades from my own experiences with Lemurtek's figures. Normal pants and sandals simply don't fit, do they?

Little_Dragon, I wish that it was "normal pants and sandals"! (Not for artistic reasons, but I have more of those models in my libraries.) Lemurtek had the right back feet, but you had prettier tails, and VistaInternet had a Boar and Elk for the faces of the other two protagonists. I didn't have time to chop and spawn, and I have never welded organic body parts together into a new mesh, so just layered figures making most of each invisible. Massive parenting problems... before dressing. At least medieval clothing is baggy. Sigh. I hope that he chooses the one with the portraits. (They are from the game itself, I just expanded upon them.) The world has Wildcats and Wolves and Ferrets and such, who all got time in the spotlight. We didn't do much with the Bear tribe and I don't think the Rams made an appearance... and next time, Rhene gets to do more!... as a storyteller I think there is a lot more exploring we can do, and questions we can ask. (What are the Rats really doing with all that information they are gathering? As the 'Morphs stumble upon more and more Human artifacts, how will they utilize the discoveries? Wisely and well? Or did we give them our weaknesses when we gave them voices and hands?) World-building is so much fun! I didn't know about Poser when we designed this. Modeling a ferret or two and using morphs and clothes to get an entire village just makes so much more sense! With Mimic 2 around the corner, we can take that into consideration, as well. One of the strengths of the game was the voice work and I'd love to see how it would fit together with improved technologies. Maybe a richer and more rewarding experience as we get closer to the involvement found in movies, but we still need to keep the "play" factor with choices, and discovery, and risk and reward. However, the sequel will have to wait until we see how much interest there is out there. Thank you for spreading the word through your associates (and for thinking that it deserves a sequel). If people look at ITE and nudge Joe with a comment or three, it will probably happen... and people who want to see foxes and ferrets and wolves running a world will be a lot happier. :) Carolly

Is that game made using AGS? It looks simulair to a AGS created game :) I was working on an adventure game in AGS myself(using poser), but abandoned the idea becasue I want to concentrate on Stone. Making the game would cost to much of my time.
