"Love"

Great image! The composition is excellent. Their poses are very well done too. The mother's face looks a bit odd, though. It looks like it's untextured... (kind of mask-like)

is it just me or is this only a preview render? the antialias is pretty bad in some parts. Also, the texture on the leaves could use some work. just my $10 canadian, eh? drac

It looks like you forgot to color the mother's face in Poser (if you used Poser). Otherwise, it's coming along nicely.

Great composition, very expressive, and with a little tweaking of the textures you should have a winner. 8)

Very nice image. I wouldn't have listed LOVE as an uncontrollable force (Typical Male - yeh I know)but of course Colette is right. I think a different sky is called for here. This Bryce one tends to get over used and yet there are thousands of alternatives. Also, I'm not sure what they are holding in their hands...it's not printed on the woman's t-shirt because it has a shadow...0.2p Hi, Catlin!

It's a butterfly. Just like the one in the foreground, I think.

Hi, Bryster!

tjohn.. yes it is a butterfly.:) TheBryster..I would never have listed Love as an uncontrollable force either until I got married and had kids. Now I know it is not something I have control over...it just is. The sky? I worked in the skylab very hard to get it to look this way...lol. Maybe I just don't have control over the skylab just yet? But it does kind of look watercolorish and doesn't quite fit in with the pic does it....... Catlin.. I am still playing with the textures, I am not very good at this particular part of Bryce yet. I will keep trying though, Thanks. Andidni, seredipity... I am not quite sure what happened with the mothers face just yet...could be the lighting maybe? But your right it does look like a mask of sorts. draculaz... I know the leaves are not done yet. I tried using a material from the plains and terrains on the tree and was pleased with how it colored the leaves and branches separately, but the leaves still look kind of like a bad fake plant..lol. My water also changed drastically in the compression to jpg. not sure how to fix that? it was just perfect in Bryce. Thanks for all your comments. I will keep plodding along.8^)

Colette: There is nothing wrong with the sky as such. It's just that to me you needed a soft early evening sunset to match the light on the couple's faces.

Bryster, I did not take offense.:) You are right: the sky doesn't fit. And a nice sunset looking sky would look nice. If I can only get it to look that way...lol I have no art experience. None, zilch, nada. I was shown what Bryce was about 6 years ago and REALLY wanted to own it for myself. I am a single mom who at the time was working 2 and 3 jobs to make ends meet. I am finally able to play with it now thanks to my son-in-law who gave me the program for my birthday this past summer. I was never really interested in art except the arts and crafts I made for school bazaars and such until I was introduced to Bryce by a dear friend of mine. You can check out his gallery here at 'rosity. SN: Marvel1 He mainly works in Poser now but he is very good. Check him out. Okay now that I have rambled on.....don't be afraid to critcize my work in anyway, shape or form. I think I learn best from that. And learn to ask the right questions that way too. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Bryce and this forum has literally saved my life the last 6 months, none of you will ever know just what a diffrence you all have made in my life. Even if I never get to be as good as any of you, I will forever remember the kindness this particular forum seems to have for all.

Colette: Glad you weren't offended. Don't be afraid to experiment with the stock skies. There's also loads of them for free at free-stuff and on other sites. I'm looking forward to being daring with this month's challenge and using a really different sort of sky. I've tried out a couple and was really startled at the difference they can make, even though the ones I tried didn't fit with the look I was trying to create. Good luck with this one. You have cracked most of it already.....you should be very proud.
