Subject: How do I refresh the screen?

Hi, everyone. Been using Vue for two days now. The biggest problem I'm having with it is after making a few edits, opening and closing the timeline several times, my modeling windows don't always refresh, so I can't see what I was doing anymore and I have to abort and start all over again. Is there any way to refresh the wireframe windows so I don't have to do this anymore? Thanks.

Your windows always shows THE image of the animation you have chosen to see. When you do a preview render, click at one of the small images and this is the one you will see. There is nothing to refresh, as you choose what you want to see. Maybe have a look in the User Guide to learn how it works. You have Vue for two days only. Please learn to use it first in its basics. Then we will be always here to help you:-) Guitta

This sounds like it could be an OpenGL problem again. You could try turning OpenGL off or try a different video driver. If the problem goes away after turning OpenGL off, then I would recommend you search this forum for 'OpenGL'. You'll learn alot about the Vue's graphic interface.

There's lots of factors to consider. OpenGl. No OpenGL. Background drawing thread. No background drawing thread. And pay attention to the sliders in the Options area. Sometimes Vue doesn't refresh properly but usually just clicking on the view you want will get it back, you don't have to close and reopen. Also, the views are 'linked' so if you have just put a moon in your scene, for example, all the views go flying off to the sky where nothing is there to see anyway.

Sorry, hijacking the thread a little, but does anyone know why Vue slows down so dramatically when importing a Poser (PZ3) animated figure. Scrubbing through the timeline is near impossible. However, importing a mesh with 10-times the polygons has very little effect (thankfully) on timeline scrubbing. The OpenGL and sluggish interface of Vue is my biggest gripe with Vue so far and I find myself going back to Bryce more and more. I sure hope they fix this in the next patch or at least by Version 5. It has a lot of potential, it's just not quite there yet ... not for me anyway. Thanks, Tim
