Hi all! I'm looking for a Poser artist to teach me how to make better images, hair techniques, etc. I want to be the student. Any well-to-do artist want to take me under their wing so I can do better? If so, feel free to IM me. Really looking forward to responses. Thank you all ;)

Usually if you have a problem and you state it here lots of folks will jump in to help. This forum is great for that, you will learn a lot here. Marque

One place to start would be the DAZ Arcana... http://www.daz3d.com ; it's full of tutorials and step-by-step instructions that help you along. Also, there's a wholse section of http://www.poserpros.com that deals just with posted tutorials to do almost anything. HTH a little, and trust me, I only scratched the surface of all the online help to be found around here :) /P

I just spent the morning in the RDNA Tutorials and here in the Renderosity ones, learning how to fix the post-worked hair I had thoroughly messed up in my latest project. A tute by Crasher did it--my pic's up in the gallery already! And I'm so thankful that he took the time to write such a thorough walk-through that even a post-work beginner like me could follow along..... There is an amazing wealth of information out there for the Poser artist. We are blessed :)

For hair, I recommend _dodger's site, which has a very good postwork tutorial for hair. Also, ilona is pretty damn good (that is, excellent) when it comes to postwork techniques. The first thing which will seriously improve any render is agood understanding of lighting and shadows. I suggest you take some time to get to grips with the basics of lighting. Otherwise, I seriously recommend any of geep's tutorials for refinement on almost any aspect of Poserdom. Otherwise, just ask questions. Remember, the dumbest question is the one you never asked. :)

Hi another good hair tutorial is by Linda (linwhite) it's about using the fur tool for eye candy and for those without a tablet it's a great way to do hair because it's do-able with a mouse...the only problem is that it is addictive...I now hate doing hair any other way :)...the tutorial is http://www.uniquerenditions.com/hairEC.html another one by her is http://www.uniquerenditions.com/HairExtndEC.htm I'm definitely not teacher material but I can always help with question you may have...Jenn
