THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: wondring about shape distortion

I'm fairly new to Bryce, and I was wondering how to distort the regualr geometrical objects. For example, if I want a small bump to appear on a sphere, how would i "grab" parts of the wireframe and "pull" them? Thanks to all who respond.

I am not sure if you can do what you want that way in Bryce. However, you can do a Boolean addition, which would work. Spanfarkle<;)>

You can't modify the wireframe in Bryce. Bryce only applies world scaled resizes in the y,x, and z proportions. You can do some things by boolean operations, and the resize editor in the edit palatte can shear and skew objects but it generally makes them look rather unpleasant.

Talent is God's gift to you. Using it is your gift to God.

Calvin, Bryce isn't a high-end Polygonal modelor, it's basic in modeling, but powerful for sure, to do what you want maybe Cararra, Lightwave or 3Ds Max is what you're looking for.

Do atleast one thing a day that scares the hell outta ya!!

Cool, thanks. :) It seems that Bryce is one of the easier ones to start using, out-of-the-box. Does anyone have an opinion on one of the higher-end ones that is somewhat easy to start with?
