Subject: Help!, having trouble controlling fall off range with Poser Spotlights

I am trying to make the spotlight's fall off(not to be confused with angular fall off) behave like infinite lights(i.e. no fall off or at least beyond my scene). I thought the Dist Start Dial controlls when the fall off starts or setting the Dist End to zero disables any fall off alltogether. No matter what setting I use, fall off begins right away as per example. I would use an infinite light but I want to control where the light hits. Thanks for any tips.

Hmmmm... Just tried it in P4 with your Angle & Distance Start and Stop settings and could not reproduce the problem. That is to say, it worked as advertised, the light pattern in my render did NOT have any falloff with distance as it appears in yours. (And that's a perplexed Dork standing in the light beam for scale.)

Sorry, you'll still need someone to try it in P5.

Hmm. Same results here, and I even changed falloff to the max, which is 1000000. Interesting that P4 doesn't do that. I also tried changing the intensity past 100%, and while it works a bit beter, it just washes out.

Thanks guys for taking the the time to see whar you get on your system (I was using P5). I will contact CL too see what they say. I will post the results if I recieve helpful info.

Hmm. Re-reading my post, it isn't that clear. I got the same results as you Daisybel, using P5. It could be read that I got the same results as Nance. But no, same thing in P5. Increasing intensity made the light pure white, but was totally washed out. But yeah, let us know if you find out anything special.
