You can disable the sun in the skylab. To enter the skylab click on the text sky&fog at the top of the screen and then click on the little icon of a cloud. There should be a little black dot in front of the text 'disable sunlight' at the botom right of the skylab. Click the dot and it will turn blue. When it's blue the sun is turned off.

welcome, CzarinaQueen (ain't that redundant?..;) from Terragen to Bryce in a matter of weeks, you're making good progress. There's lights on the upper right, in 'create' mode. They'll have similar flat shapes indicating what kind of light they produce. If you choose one, you can place and size it all over the place, stretch, squeeze, make it whatever shape you need. Having done that, you'll see an 'E' next to the light when it's chosen. This contains more lighting controls, such as turning shadows on/off, make light visible, color of light, intensity, how it fades into the distance, etc. This is enough to get you going. Note- the more lights you place in your picture, the slower the render gets.. but sometimes a long render is necessary to get the effect you want. Welcome, and say 'zdrasvuitye' to the Czarevitch for me..;)

LOL, don't worry about that: I worked with Bryce for lots of times before discovering that myself :) I am one of the people who think that "artificial" Bryce ligths are way better than the sun. I tend to use them even when I do exteriors. You will discover a whole new world, Bryce lighting lab is really, really cool. Stefano
