Subject: scaling in setup room

Hi, Does anybody know how exaxctly the 4 parameters for the scaling in the setup room interact. Figuring the other parameters out is simple. They make sense. The scaling however does not. The more I fiddle with the settings the more my object tapers instead of scale uniformly. Thanks
