There is out there on the web, a site devoted to Gilbert and Sullivan parodies of famous songs. To those who don't read too much Heinlein, and didn't see *Topsy Turvey*, Gilbert and Sullivan did light opera in late 19th Century London. One of their more famous songs is 'I am the Very Model of a Modern Major General'. Well, I sent something to them about 2 years ago, and no reply, posting or whatnot. I think it's one of those sites that's still up, but noone's home. Anyway, I did one on Star Trek, all 5 series. Kudos if you recognize some of the references, but you have my sympathy if you recognize all of them..;) Here goes..the scanning may not work 100%, but it's fairly close..;)

Ouch! That hurts! The Modern Major General is a favorite for parodies - Danny Kaye and Tom Lehrer both come to mind. Dare I admit that I know almost all the references? (I refuse to watch Enterprise, so I guess not all hope is lost for me.) You need to find someone who can sing that. It would be hilarious to hear.

well, it could happen. Woznium is only mentioned in the TNG Technical Guide..it's part of the lining for the warp chamber..;) There's a couple of Enterprise references (they're thinking of bringing 'Q' next season..is nothing sacred?..;)
