Actually, what you consider Dennis' "twitches" I consider reaction "takes" as Arthur proclaims his divine vision. I think you're off to a hell'ova start! Shoot, more than a start, I think you're in the home stretch with this one. I don't think I've ever seen a true 2-person conversation example with Mimic. Well, maybe Little Dragon has, but he's done so many animations, it's hard to remember what he has and he hasn't done. So, which bit is next? The Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch? Sincerely, Bill

well...bummer..you have now exceeded your hourly bandwidth :) I just dumped Tripod about 2 months ago for that reason...finally put up something folks tried to see and actually ended up with the site down for 2 weeks because of exceeded bandwidth....finally ponied up for a pay site...$10/month--450meg/30gig bandwidth...no popups or ads...cheaper if you sign for a year.

Pretty good! The next step that hasn't been mentioned is random movement. For example, have Dennis slowly move back and forth or side to side just a couple of degrees while Arthur is speaking. Also have Arthur do the same. Make it very small movement. The rationale is that no one stands perfectly still. This will help your characters look more natural. If you want to go the the trouble of trying to simulate breathing with the chest that would be great, too. Good start and keep us posted - this is fun!

I used the newest version of Sound Recorder that comes with Windows and spliced 2 wav files together. Then generated a Pose in Mimic 1. Following Little Dragon's help, I applied this pose to both characters, then using the animation palette I deleted all the phenome movements from each character when they were not speaking. With this method, you could have infinite characters speaking in an animation.
There's an Animation section in the Renderosity Free Stuff Section. It was the closest we could get to having an Animation Gallery (due to technology/server issues) at the time. When you have stuff ready to show, that's a god place to do it.

This the first time I've done a multispeaker conversation that was not a straight headshot. There are some MAJOR weird things that I still have to fix (Dennis, the peasant, seems to have a twitching problem, for one thing). Consider this a sketch, a 1.6M sketch :)The King and Dennis, from Monty Python's Quest for the Holy Grail
