Would someone please let me know how to keep the textures for the characters when moving them in as objects or is there another way to import Poser characters?

all props and textures are default in program.

When you export out of Poser you need to do so as an .obj...that will keep the textures mapped correctly. It takes a little bit of tweaking after that to get the trans maps right. But .obj is the most important piece.

dont worry i had this same question-and it can get kind of frustrating even after getting used to it. Ungroup the figure (it makes it easier) and select the body and head only, if they are wearing any clothing or props or hair do NOT select those yet. click on the material editor (M) and then find the texture for that character (it should be in your poser folder under textures) the default poser hair and clothing doesnt have a texture, so dont worry about that part--search online cuz i think there are a few step-bystep inturctions on how do do it.

Strongly suggest you to download and use Grouper (in the freestuff section), a wonderful utility that helps a lot to import OBJ into Bryce. S-.

I will second what Doublecrash said about Grouper. Get it, use it, and you won't regret it.

Call it three votes for Grouper...I have had several poser obj's that would not import until I ran them through the fix utility in grouper. It also allows you to identify where your tex files are and pulls them all automatically when you import into Bryce.

Grouper is a wonderful utility for importing Poser objects into Bryce. It's handy and very easy to use :) Definitely get this little program and you'll never regret it :)
