Subject: Need advice making a Poser product

Hello, I'm working on a Poser version of one of my MarketPlace products, and I was wondering if people would think its better to pre-apply the texture to the pp2, or let my customers apply the textures I give them? Some of my models have got specific textures that may match the shape, but I know many people have lots of their own textures and might want to use them instead. It might be a chore having to remove my textures just the apply their own... Thanks for any feedback. :)

The vast majority of Poser users would prefer a product that looks good "out of the box". Most wouldn't buy an untextured product. Ever. If you feel some might prefer an untextured version, just include both versions.

Include template maps for your model so that people can create their own textures if they want. You don't have to include them, most people know how to use UVMapper to make their own, but it's a nice gesture. I agree, poser items rarely are untextured.

Include the textures so the product is complete, even if your texture isn't good it gives a good idea of what can be done.

Stupidity also evolves!

Thanks for the feedback everyone, this gives me a much better sense of what customers would prefer. Sometimes it's hard to see how other people see what I'm doing. Uh, I think. ;)
