Subject: The Two Easiest Contests Ever

Contest 1: The first person who hasn't bought JICC 3000 to respond to this thread gets a free JICC 3000 figure. Contest 2: The 100th person to buy a JICC 3000 figure (I won't say what number its on byut I'll tell you that it's close) gets their pick of two other items in my store.

Well, I've purchased a couple of your items, but JICC 3000 isn't one of them. Hmmm, does this make me first?

_dodger ( ) posted Thu, 19 June 2003 at 5:50 AM

Yup. You win contest 1. IM me your email address or email it to dodger at dodger dot org and I'll send you JICC! (As a matter of logical course, you are prevented from being able to win contest 2 now, unless you want to buy JICC even though you're getting him free B^)

Something I should note: If you purchase JICC as a gift for someone and that purchase is the winning JICC purchase, I give the prize to whomever is the name listed on my accounting page, which I am pretty sure is the buyer (thus you), not the gift recipient.

Something else I should note: If you win contest #2 you get any 2 other items in my store that you choose, and by 'My Store' I mean my Renderosity store. If there is only one item in my store that you haven't bought or received as a Renderosity gift already, you get one of my two current DAZ items. If there are NO items in my Renderosity store that you haven't already bought or received as a gift through Renderosity, you get both of my current DAZ items. If you have already purchased or received as gifts all of the items in my Renderosity AND you have purchased one of my DAZ items as well (I'll verify this with DAZ of course), you get the remaining DAZ item and a free copy of the next item I have up for sale on DAZ. Finally, if you have already bought or received as gifts all items in my Renderosity store AND you have also verifiably purchased BOTH of my DAZ items, so that there is no conceivable prize to actually receive, then you are my biggest fan, and you will get one custom creation within reason (reason being defined by me, but I'll be lenient)

Having several items of your I can say they are well worth the price, and the hotdog cart is totally cool!

Thanks! You figured out how to raise and lower the parasol, right?

lalverson ( ) posted Thu, 19 June 2003 at 3:08 PM

yep, found the thingie that controls it.

_dodger ( ) posted Thu, 19 June 2003 at 4:45 PM

Coolness. (For anyone who may have bought it and not found it, it's the 'lifter' body part, which allows you to control the parasol morph by changing the YTrans on the Lifter, just like the real thing B^)

We're VERY close to sale #100 for JICC3000. Seriously. Five dollars might get you a cool robot and anything else in my store. $5 will definitely get you a cool robot!

How about something for the first person to render 100 JICC's in a scene? Ok, ok, there aren't 100 here, but there's 81. I'll throw a higher rez one in my gallery later. Poser couldn't handle it, so I had to render in Bryce. Only took 23 and a half hours. Ended up being over 3 million polys in the scene. Anyone who hasn't bought JICC yet, do it already!

Heheh! Cool! Hey, wanna know a trick? It's not perfect but it can make rendering a lot easier... Render a row without the background stuff, just the droids. Save it as a TIFF, then extract the alpha channel to a seperate file. Apply both as texture and trans to a plane and position it perpendicular to the camera, then add a few of these behind one another and only make the first few rows of droids real. This way you can easily render 100 or more in one sene because planes are only 1 poly each!
