any tuts around that explore the use of Michaels beard and how to texture it?

What are you referring to, the beard morphs on the head? If so, those are there to help emphasize the type of beard that may come with certain textures. Be careful about their use, if you use them at all. Being subtle counts. If you're referring to some add-on product, please specify so that people can help you. I'm not aware of any product called "Michael's Beard." People speak highly of jepe's hair brushes for Photoshop, available in the RMP. I'm pretty sure that they come with tutorials that will help you to paint your own beards onto textures that don't have them. Otherwise, in my opinion, the best beard add-on for Michael is, by far, the Millennium Beard available from DAZ. It achieves the most realistic results I've seen. especially if you're looking for something more subtantial than 3-day stubble.

Im attempting to do renders with full beard. is post work best? or can i buy a mat?
