I'd like to suggest giving the membership the choice to return to the old default colors. Universally. I still cannot fathom why the admins chose to make this limiting change. The response appears to be overwhelmingly negative, and it's not because folks are reluctant to try something new.

Keep the new logo. Return our old color scheme.

I don't know about the old colour scheme - I do like lighter, but frankly I prefer the colour scheme the graphics creator intended - looks great.

I agree with LadySilverMage. Especially the style for the headers. The graphics designer doesn't stick graphics in for the "Forum", "Highlights", or the main Headers on the Front Page "On Sale", etc. The colors and the use of graphics that he presented in another thread are much cleaner and professional looking. Rendo should have accepted his entire design.....not put him in a bad light by trying to modify it.

I sorta liked the old colors at least as well too... ;-) I do like a dark background with lighter text, though, I find it easier on these old eyes. The problem with light backgrounds is the screen isn't paper, it glows, and if you need high contrast you wind up with a very light background, which IS hard on the eyes.

With respect to the logo designer--whose work I like very much--the total scheme he suggests is too monochromatic, even a bit bland. The old scheme had great variation, included even in the smallest detail. I agree with the idea that a dark background is a better choice for a lit display. Even as I try to reproduce some semblance of the old scheme, I still can't get the bright yellow--for text--to look like anything other that chartreuse, which was not the case before.

I would also like to have the option to return everything to the old design. Or, if that's not possible for some reason, could we at least change the colors of the side bar and the top? I really, really don't like this brown color. I might want to have a new color scheme for my background and text, but trying to find an eye-pleasing design that doesn't clash with this ugly brown thing is hard. Actually, it looks brown on my desktop (WindowsME), but looks bluish-grayish on my laptop (Windows XP)...
