Hi all,

please help me to improve my last work with suggestion...

Needs a slight bit more clutter on the table. Half eaten sandwich or a broken object something anything( small teddy bear with a eye pulled off laying on table. The vase does not look like it is sitting on the table. Fix it. It may be but fix it anyway. The sink needs a bit of a bump. Maybe fill it up to overflowing with water. Put some water on the floor. You could have the perfect cool render if you rendered with volumetric light and add dust to the light beams. ( Really slow render) So watch out but it would look really cool. It looks really good right now though but you did ask :)

Thanx Master ... :)

Oh hey you single? Ever see a sink in a single's place? Right you can't see the sink. Why? Cause it's fill of dirty dishes...

As Mightypete says, it looks good now, but if anything, the sink looks way to low. You're either goin' to do the dishes sitting down in that chair or you'll get a real bad back real soon. Very good image though.

Clutter is waaaay overrated. Not all pictures need it. This looks like an old but loved place. I like it as is (except as Sentinal says the sink should be higher).

My idea is clutter adds a bit of realizem. But I'm not talking mess I'm talking looked lived in. Like something forgotten or spilt or dripping. Something so it looks real. Like a basement shop, the forgotten soldering iron burning the desk. That's what I mean. Like two wine glasses. One full with wine one empty. A candle burned to nothing. Calender on the wall with a date circled. The big day. But why did she not come? Stood up again !Get the idea. Anything, something to give it life.

It looks really good. Perhaps tho its a midget that lives there. So the sink is level? Only thing I have to say is make the vase look like its on the table more.

Nice job on the texturing! Exceedingly nice scene you're working on! A few observations: Agree with height of sink; I have problems with scale myself, and for something like this would put a cube or something in as a "pretend person" and scale things accordingly. The vase does look to be floating a bit off the table, and there is something strange with the tray handles; like they're not connected to the tray. I don't think you need "clutter" and things spilling; I like it as it is.

Thanx for suggestions... I have really thinked to the height of the sink, from the frontal vision all I seem corrected. maybe is the use of a 30 milimeter camera that have influence on the final image?

ShadowWind ( ) posted Sun, 22 June 2003 at 12:56 PM

Are you sure 75 cm is the proper height for a sink? I think it's not quite high enough in the frontal view above. If you use the chair as a height reference, a standing person would have the sink just above his knees (or maybe the center of the thighs) which is a bit low for a sink which is normally above the waist. The image looks excellent by the way, the lighting and all seems very realistic...I have a lot of problems with scale myself...

ShadowWind thanx for your opinion, the scaling its an hard problem... :) but the sink of my photo its a 1920 a.d. sink... maybe in the 1920 the average of height people was ok for a 75 cm sink ! ;-D by the way thnax very much...
