Subject: Cleaning color slides?

I've found a lot of my old color slides need to be cleaned. What can anyone recommend that would be safe & fast? Do I have to unmount the slides in order to clean the edge area by the mount. That seems a rather drastic solution? TIA

There was a product mentioned in this thread, back in April. As far as taking them out of the mount...hmm...not sure, since I have never done this myself.
