Subject: Daz3D's exceptionally slow Paypal processing

So, what gives with the long wait for Paypal purchases. I purchased Mimic 2.0 Pro Thurdsay night and here it is Saturday afternoon and anon a response since then. Supposedly, information will be sent within one business day, which even seems odd. I can purchase from here (Renderosity Marketplace) using Paypal and have the download available within minutes. This is sort of like the mobo/cpus that I just returned RMA using Second Day service. They receive it on 6/25 and I may have to wait until 7/3 (or 7/7 if they don't hurry) before getting the replacement equipment. They also held up my AmEx for two days because the address couldn't be verified (after using 100 times this year already with nary a problem), thus turning an overnight order into a three day wait. Ah, the expediency of the internet! BYS

Hi BYS, I have never used PayPal with Daz, so I really can't say anything about that. What I wanted to tell you, is, that I don't use a credit card because I want to keep my purchases "in" check, so to speak, so I have what is a credit-card/debit-card and any purchases I make, may seem that they are going to be charged to my MasterCard, but,it is really being charged to my MasterCard/Debit-Card and the money is taken directly out of my "checking" account. That way, I get my stuff, almost imediately, but I don't have to pay for the "interest" that credit cards charge. The card is my "ATM" card, but vendors accept it with "NO" problem. Since I don't know where you live, I don't know if this is available to you, but....I just thought that, maybe, you didn't know about this option. (: Genny

You should have called the office on Friday. Paypal is done manually, and I am sure it isn't done over the weekend.

They must have had problems thursday because they would not accept my credit card either. I cancled my order and did it friday after noon without a problem. Gel

Now you tell me Gelana and Scathdebas! ;) I've sent them an email, so will wait for a response on Monday before making direct contact. Thanks, BYS

Best thing to do, is avoid Paypal completely. Using it is always a crap-roll for getting ripped off by them, or not.

I think they had some problems getting their messages that they were paid. I know that usually after I pay them it's only a short time oto get my order activated, but Friday I waited several hours and then I called - they hadn't received a notice yet although I had a receipt. But they activated it for me. There are plenty of ways to use paypal and get auto downloads - I'm sure they will figure it out. Norbert - who rips you off? DAZ or paypal lol kind of a vague comment there, Paypal doesn't rip you off, some people using it may (don't send money to someone who is unverified and you should be fine).
