When getting an idea for an image, alot of times you come up blank, or you have an idea, but need some particulars to make it work. I don't know how many here use references but I thought for the new people in our forum a resource for all kinds of things might be helpful. One resource I use on a regular basis is at the link, Dover Publications. They have the biggest archive of historial and comtemporary subject matter I've found and, the update catalogs are great for inspiration.
Example, their winter/spring update deals with all the books on Architecture, regional, ornamental, period, construction, design theory, interiors, peroid and regional photographic references....
The cost of the books ranges anywhere from $4.95 to $25 USD...These are great when you can't, or don't want to be online...
So that's it, check it out, I just rec'd my 245 pg resource for Castles (construction and history with 199 illustrarions) today, can't wait to start modeling...
