Hello! Don't you hate it when you buy a BVH motion and import it into poser and bam! you get funky twisted body parts. Well my friends I will tell you a quick and easy way to fix this with no other software needed! What you say it's impossible without posing each frame by hand? Well you just wait and see. 1) Start out by importing your motion and looking for badly twisted parts and click restore-->element (Ctrl+E) 2) Try your best to repose your figure the way it was before you restored it, but make sure it's free of any bad twisting marks. a) If you can't get it any better tough luck, this will not help you. b) If you can go to step 3 3) Click the body part and head up to the graph (Shift+Ctrl+G) MAKE SURE YOUR ALWAYS ON FRAME ONE 4) Depending on the body part there will be a few options, but the ones you are looking for is called Twist, Side-Side, and Bend. It's located on a drop down menu on the right. 5) Now notice your graph is going to have a huge steep increase or decrease (see picture "A" below) I need you to click at column 2 and drag it all the way over so it turns black. Slide the bar back over and make sure everything is selected and your still on frame one. If you not on frame one change the animation slider to frame one. If your graph has retreated you can click the black part and slide it back to the correct position. graph.jpggraph2.jpg 6) Now here is trick, click and hold Ctrl so the two horizontal arrows turn into vertical arrows. Now you can slide the graph up and down. The object is the get rid of the steep increase/decrease and make it a straight line (see picture "C") graph3.jpg 7) Follow steps 5-6 with the other 2 parts (twist, side-side, or bend) 8) Repeat with any other body parts (I.E. Zygotes combat motion pack has a problem with the neck and head, so you need to fix them both for animation to work correctly) =--=-=-=-=-=FAQ=-=-=--=-=--= Q: What did I just do? A: You set a 'home' position (first frame) so the rest of the animation will bend, twist, and go side to side correctly Q: I'm still having some twisting/bending/or side to side problems A: This isn't a cure all but it does help, if I explained it correctly then you should only have a few frames wrong. You can go to the bad frame on the graph (column number is the same as the frame number) and play with the settings some. Or you can hand pose each bad frame, it's your choice. =--=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=--= Any questions contact me at z4681019@gw.total-web.net -By Brad Nace (www.hero6.com)

I like the KISS principal myself, but in my case I payed for realism. Overall my way of doing things may be a little more complex but yeilds better results, in my option. -Colt
