Don't have enough look with the PHI-File, thats why i have finished it with some morphs. The whole Falcon consist of: - Morph for Head turn left - Morph for Beak open - Morph for Legs in hunting-position - Morph for Legs in fly-position - Morph for Head in fly-position (Beak closed) - Morph for Head in fly-position (Beak open) - Morph for Wings in hunting-position - Morph for sitting - Texture-Map - Bump-Map - Texture-Template I upload this animal-prop at saturday to freestuff. If someone is interested to convert the Falcon to a posable Figure or want to make more morphs, send me a mail to: sharkey@cybergate-corp.ch and i send you the Object-File. I'm also not really happy with the Bump-Map, if anybody is abble to do it better then mines, send me also a mail. Hope you like it, i'm interested about the first pictures. SHARKEY

Sharkey, I like it. i would be interested in playing with the OBJ. I don't know what I could do with it, but If you don't mind me looking at it and disecting it, I might be able to learn some modeling from it. I will send you an e-mail.

  • For readers who are not ornithologists, what is the popular name of this species? - There is no need for the default pose (i.e. with all the xrot yrot zrot = 0deg) to be a natural pose. How often do you see a real human in the default T-shaped Poser pose? - Remember that there is a way to rotate the xrot yrot zrot axes away from their default directions. With my Gerry Anderson UFO series alien model I shifted the helmet's yrot axis forward so that its yrot rotated it properly on its sloping neck seating. - To get the wings to fold right, it may be useful to interpolate an extra short joint segment to represent the carpal bones. See a bird anatomy book, or have a close look inside a chicken wing. - Getting the patagium to behave right may be a swine; it may be necessary to make it a separate segment parented to the chest, and text edit an extra Weld command into the CR2 file to get it to weld properly onto the upper-arm. Similarly the flight feathers.

Hello Anthony Your absolutely right, but theirs the little problem i was failed with this damned PHI-Building. Thats why i had make it as a PP2-File with morphs. My target was to make it possable, for the moment i doesn't have this experience. If someone want and is abble to make the PHI-File i would be more then happy to go to the challenge to make the CR2. Robert, I got your e-mail with the OBJ and the maps. Thanks. I guess you haven't had a chance to upload the falcon to the freestuff yet. I'm looking forward to working with that, too.
