I have NO clue what has caused this problem but desperately wish it to stop. I got one of the free maya head morphs and was tweeking out the rest of the face{ I really only wanted the doe eyes that was on the maya morph so I had to work on the rest of the head} I put on the koz hiar..the dress...all that great stuff. went selected a pose..nothing fancy and WAM! the broken jaw. So I went and chose another thinking maybe something was wrong with the pose.......and it got worse! her jaw became so mangled I dontknow what to do!? HOw did this happen..How do I fix it..and how do I keep it from happening again. this is in P4 the model is v2

I kinda like it, in a sick way. :) When you selected the pose, did you make sure you had the figure's body selected? It may be the pose is being applied to the head only.

Hey, I think I know her...... Do the poses contain any morph data? It is possible that one or more of v2's normal channels are comflicting with the maya morph....I have had similar errors occur when I apply a custom morph and then do other tweaking...Though it usually shows up before I do any posing.

did it happen after you applied the pose and did it change after you applied a different pose?

PabloS ( ) posted Wed, 02 July 2003 at 7:09 PM

to fix, try selecting head and Ctrl-E (that should restore the all the head settings to the default config).

DarkElegance ( ) posted Wed, 02 July 2003 at 7:22 PM

ok I tried all this but for some reason it just got worse O.O I took off her cloths and hiar ...and hit the post..then another and another and ~gets slightly panicy~ the jaw would do this in varying degrees even one time making her look like an oragotang!{ I know I spelt that wrong guh} sometims you can see the lower lip.......sometimes she looks like someone tried to turn her head but not her neck....it was traumatizing! O.O

Wouldn't a morph meant for t he Maya Doll work properly onlu on the Maya Doll? I'm surprised it does anything at all.

lmckenzie ( ) posted Thu, 03 July 2003 at 11:31 AM

I think he means it's the Maya Doll remapping by Bijou to use Vicky textures - filename: mayadollV2uvs.

heyas; it looks as if the twist control for the head has gone screwy and left the jaw out of the area of effect. try this: grab the head, hit ctrl-i, and uncheck the bend option. does that put the jaw back on? (it'll break the head off the neck, though, so don't be surprised.)

DarkElegance ( ) posted Thu, 03 July 2003 at 4:21 PM

itll break the head off the neck? ohh pooor vicky! Ill try that
