So, I downloaded the JoAnn figure thinking to myself "damn, she's gorgeous"... and when I get her into Poser5 and double click on one of her texture maps I end up with this! Her face is all screwed up, her nipples are gray, and her body texture is WAY off. I can get nearly all the other models I've bought (Alasunthia, BloodWyn) to work... what am I doing wrong? Please not I'm a semi noob to this... I'm a total noob to Vicky.

Dash ( ) posted Thu, 03 July 2003 at 6:07 PM

Hi, I don't have that texture but according to the marketplace ads the jo texture is for vicky3 and the ann texture is for vicky2, so in your screenshot it appears you are applying the ann (v2) to the vicky 3 model i'm assuming that the textures for v3 should start with Jo-whatevername.

Grammaton ( ) posted Thu, 03 July 2003 at 6:14 PM

If you search for Joann (I have no idea why I wrote her name out like that) you end up with the Jo & Ann by dalinise... I got the Ann texture which is made for V3 (again by dalinise)... Ann There's the link. If you look closely at the image you'll see Ann-V3-Morph, so I'm assuming it's for Vicky3.

Dash ( ) posted Thu, 03 July 2003 at 6:15 PM

oops i got those backwards lol Ann is for V3 and jo is for V2 so if the model on your screenshot is Vicky 2 then you are applying the wrong textures.

Grammaton ( ) posted Thu, 03 July 2003 at 6:20 PM

sighs I'm using V3.

Grammaton ( ) posted Thu, 03 July 2003 at 6:28 PM

Ok, so I am getting rather annoyed of this now... Now my BloodWyn isn't working either... I don't know what I'm doing wrong... and I don't really like being a Poser noob. Damn I feel like an idiot... I wouldn't be too surprised if they kick me out for too many questions in an hour.

Dash ( ) posted Thu, 03 July 2003 at 6:29 PM

do you have all v3 sr1 updates from daz? looking at your screenshot she doesn't look like v3's mesh to me. do you have v2 also? if you do try opening v2 and applying the texture and see if that works.

oh jeez.. gad-damn I'm an idiot. But it's not entirely my fault! This menu is rather misleading... what exactly is Vicky3 to Vicky2 SR1 mean? That's what I've been clicking on.. that's why I was getting the wrong textures... ugh. Is there any way to get rid of the V3-to-V2 icon?

BillyGoat ( ) posted Thu, 03 July 2003 at 6:52 PM

If you don't have or use V2, just click the icon once and go down to the bottom of the menu and you'll see DELETE... Poof! It's gone...

Dash ( ) posted Thu, 03 July 2003 at 6:55 PM

Yeah just hit the "-" sign at the bottom and it's gone. this figure can be useful if you want to use v2 clothing and v2 textures kinda like v3 on v2's body.

Grammaton ( ) posted Thu, 03 July 2003 at 6:56 PM

"If you don't have" No I don't have her... "or use V2," I'd be interested in using her... Does that mean that I have V2? Did V2 come with my purchase of V3? Or is that button there just to mock me? I'll delete it if it is just there to mock me... if it's V2, I'd like to know how to rename and change the icon for it. Thanks for all the help.

Oh, and how do I go about rendering in wireframe mode?

Dash ( ) posted Thu, 03 July 2003 at 7:09 PM

Attached Link: http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?Form.ShowMessage=1302202

V3 to v2 is not the same as v2 but it is made in the same shape of v2 so it can take v2 clothing and textures aside from having v3's head wich accepts morph injections confusing huh? lol to rename it just go to your RuntimelibrariescharacterDAZ People folder and rename the "Vicki 3 to Vicki 2 sr1.cr2" and "Vicki 3 to Vicki 2 sr1.png" to any name you want. Rendering in wireframe can't be done but there are lots of workarounds you can use try searching this forum. here is a link for one of the most recent threads.

you are welcome :)

Document style menu (also has submenus for figure and element styles) Choose "Wireframe" This will put your entire scene in wireframe (or if you want to mix and match stles, you can choose figure style to just change one figure, or element style for a body part or prop, etc) You can't render directly in this style, but you can make a single frame animation at whatever dimensions, resolution, style you want, and save it as an image file. I don'y have POser 4 installed any more, or I would take you through the steps. It's not too hard to figure out though.

I'm running Poser 5.
