Titles are important for me. Sometimes... often I take the photo inspired in the title like "Drunkards of Black Shade" or "Eyes Wide Shut". Some times I get the title when I see the photo like my last abstract entry "Big Brother" and has doble interpretation like this one. And when I haven't a title I put something like "Challenge 07.03"
Now, y'see, I'm of the totally opposite opinion, and titles for me are usually something I've thought up at the very last moment and only coz I hate having loads of 'untitled' pics - which is what they would be..... either that or Gurl1, Gurl2 etc etc. I even had some... well, I'll call them a 'person' for the sake of not wanting to post insults in the forum, say I was immature as an artist for using single-word titles.... duh? And the name of a picture has exactly WHAT to do with the content? In answer to Bri, surely an abstract point of view would be to give an abstract picture a perfectly normal title?!? (",)

One question for anybody. Personally I think that titles influence the impression of a picture. Doesn't a title of an abstract image deserve an abstract title? Not sure how to handle titling abstract images which are supposed to be abstract. Bsteph
