Subject: How to get started.

Alright, Bare with me here as I'm new. I have Poser 4, Bryce 4, 3dstudioMAX, Raydream Studio and Photoshop 5.5. I have been working with making characters and scenes with the present clothing and props but would like to begin expanding what I can do. I would like to render pictures of the fantasy characters I and others use on some WOT RPG's. So here is my question, Do I have the tools that I need to create my own poseable clothing? and If so how is the best way to begin? IE: Tutorials? Clothing to start practice on? Other predon props/figures that I should purchase. Thanks, A future Contributor to the Forum. Rx2web

You have enough software there to make Toy Story Three, let alone some posable clothes. Roys Poser,Max tutorials linked at the bottom of the page may be a good place to start.

Thorne also has a great beginner tutorial on converting a conventional model into a poseable figure. It's a work-along project where you start with a bunch of parts he gives you (equivilent to what you would export from Max) and then he shows you how to assemble them into a simple poseable figure for Poser. ... and Wowsers!! I just saw Stormrage's collection of tutorials she mentioned in "Phi" thread below. That thread also mentioned Bushi's tutorials on figure creation. Both are worth a good look.
