Subject: Yet another newbie question

My other one got me thinking can/how can you get the moon and the sun in the same picture? ^^;

Same way you'd get 2 moons or 2 suns. Bryce's moon and sun are exactly opposite each other in the sky dome so they can never be rendered together.

Post work is the only way I know of, but I dont' know enough to tell you how to do it :( I've never done it myself. Ang

I would think once you position the sun to be visible you would add a sphere and put a moon type mat on it. Make it huge and push it back in the scene to where you want the moon. There are probably other ways but this is how I would do it. :) Trouble

I guess it would depend on how you want that moon to look with the sun in the sky. If you want the reflection of the sun and the shadowing effect on the moon, I think Trouble's idea would be the way to go. If reflection and shading isn't a concern, then adding a moon in post rendering would work too. If it were me, I'd try both approaches to see what effects I got. Adi

Bryce has what I consider a bug. If you use visable moon and stars at the same time the stars can show up in the moon image. I use a moon image mapped to a sphere.
