I still can't get the hang for Bryce modelling. I'll take my modelling programs any day :D Looks great, i like it. I think it's realistic...i've never seen an actually tat gun closeup.

bknoh ( ) posted Wed, 09 July 2003 at 9:25 PM

Looks great...but very, very scary!!!!! Slakker, I wish I could model in a 3D program other than Bryce or Poser. Diane

Nice modeling, but it sure looks like it would hurt...

Wow. Very realistic. Is that a real machine or one from your imagination? I've never seen a tatoo palor nor do I want to!

Swade ( ) posted Wed, 09 July 2003 at 11:24 PM

This is an excellent model. Never been under the tat gun and after seeing this one.... I won't be either. Cool work ICM. ~ Swade ~

What did you use for the wires?

Not as detailed, but modelled in Bryce. Yours looks great!

Thanks for the comments everyone. Vile: It's "Easy Pose Tube" by ajax. You can find it here in free stuff, do a search for "ajax".

Great model ICM but you have just succeeded in putting me off getting a tattoo where everyone else has failed. 8) Catlin

RodsArt ( ) posted Thu, 10 July 2003 at 7:49 AM

Thanks Cat Once you get your first one, they're addictive. Ask brholte (5 hours) I've probably got 40-50 hours in. But that was years ago. :)

BEAUTIFUL....only thing i can see "missing" is the rubber grommet at the eye of the needle...the tube looks a bit strange...can't tell if those are holes or what..the needle itself looks peachy but for added realism might add a few :) 4-50 hours?...i might rival that...or beat it..not sure anymore...lol...i've lost track

RodsArt ( ) posted Thu, 10 July 2003 at 2:53 PM

Rubber band too, but I didn't want to get into that by the time I was finished. I will for the image.

yeah... just ask me. the circled and enlarged one is the one I got last night. the 5 hour one. i know what some of you are thinking.....5 hours??!! but it's sooo small. the reason for that is because i got inked by an old buddy of mine who has just started tattoing on his own just a few days ago, so he doesn't have much experience... I'm sure he'll get faster in time. but man... that last hour was hell!! lol.. anyway, whadda ya think????

brholte ( ) posted Thu, 10 July 2003 at 3:28 PM

we took a half hour break half way through too.

RodsArt ( ) posted Thu, 10 July 2003 at 3:37 PM

Nice piece, lots of color. Fill takes time and I'm sure it got pretty hot with all that wiping. I trained for awhile but never got the chance to lay down any ink.

Great model, ICM! It's well done, I have nearly as much tie in as you do! All of my tattoos are from the Wheel of Time. One thing : the rubber band? I'm not sure if all tat guys use a rubber band on the back, it merely applies a bit of pressure to keep the needle's back hook on the mounting post... Stone, my tattoo guy who coincidentally works at a shop called "Tattoo U", has always done this, but I'm not sure if it's standard...

woodhurst ( ) posted Thu, 10 July 2003 at 9:09 PM

awesome model ICM! great detail. that tat rocks holte!

brholte ( ) posted Thu, 10 July 2003 at 9:46 PM

Thanks.. i thought it was pretty interesting... it won't look so dark once it heals up in a couple weeks

catlin_mc ( ) posted Fri, 11 July 2003 at 3:28 AM

Spooky looking thing brholte. Is it anything in particular, does it have a name, or am I just daft for asking? 8) Catlin

brholte ( ) posted Fri, 11 July 2003 at 8:24 AM

catlin- if your wondering what that specific tattoo is.....its a moon (I just call it the crazy moon man). everyone askes me if my tattoos have meaning to them, and the answer is no. I've never gotten any tattoos because of personal beliefs or feelings. I, for some reason, really like that style of art and I don't mind sitting in the chair. For me it's something to do, and something for others to look at (and a hole in my wallet). and no, you're not daft for asking :) a lot of people do get tattoos for very personal reasons, and name them accordingly, I'm just not one of those people

Ang25 ( ) posted Fri, 11 July 2003 at 11:18 AM

ICM, great model and very scarey looking. I've sometimes had an inkling to get a small tattoo, not so sure anymore, :-) Brholte, awesome tattoos. Almost makes me want to get one.

catlin_mc ( ) posted Fri, 11 July 2003 at 2:27 PM

I had always thought of getting a little tattoo on my ankle, then after I had my belly button pierced I thought it would be nice to have one around there. Then again I fancy having celtic weave bands round my upper arms. I guess that's my problem, I would like to have one done but there are so many to choose from. Where would I begin and as ICM reckons it's addictive where would it end.............lol 8) Catlin
