Does anyone know if it is possible to do a infinite tunnel effect in poser5? You know the sort of effect you get if you put two mirrors face ing each other with an object in between. If anyone has done this or gives it a go can you poset a picture cos I would love to see it. Ive been trying with no luck so far. Kindest Regards Rich

I don't have P5 but after considering the implications of what you're trying to achieve, I'd say it should in theory take forever to render such an image.

Come on stewer, give us the secret!!! it's a reflection-square in the front and behind those props?? Tell us Tell us Tell us Tell us Tell us!!!!!! thanks!

It's two squares in parallel with a reflection node on both. Raytrace bounces were up to 16 in the render settings, the default of 4 would not do enough reflections to get the "infinite" impression. If you're not sure on how to use the reflection node, feel free to consult my FireFly/Material room FAQ.

How long did that last one take to render??

stewer ( ) posted Thu, 17 July 2003 at 7:17 PM

Hm...maybe 30 seconds? I don't remember....I have slow computer, 800MHz.

OK, I have to correct myself: With the given settings, such a scene takes about a minute to render. When I raise the shading rate to 2.0, I get 22 seconds.
