Hi peeps, This is my first gallery piece so be gentle ;) I have started trying to use the focus tool, and decided to focus on the sword and hand rather than the face, but I think it might have been a bad idea. All comments are truely welcome. (p.s. I think this pails in comparison to sabretalons pic) Thanks in advance! Rich

I think your pic is pretty good. I love the idea of it (and I should give a try to the focus options myself). If I can just suggest a small improvement, I would have stressed the focus even more by making the sword really stand out. It would evoque the awe of the girl trying to seize an ancient artefact of immense power. You could give the sword a stronger color pattern, perhaps putting it on a japanese-like stand so that it stands better out, and post work some sort of subtle radiance aroud it. This would reinforce the contrast between the blurred girl and the neat sword. Just my 2 eurocents. But, as I said above, this is just a suggestion. The pic is rather good as is.
