Am still new here, much to learn. I'll put up my first pic in the next couple of days I hope. But I'm so proud!!!! I just answered someones question, I knew the answers kinda. Perhaps not the most comprehensive and I'm not passing myself off as an expert under any circumstances, but its still cool. Noob stuff just like I wanted to know just a couple of weeks ago. Thats the idea behind communities isn't it?

That's exactly the idea behind communities. You ask, you learn, and sooner or later you pass it on to someone else. And no matter how much you learn, there will always be somone who knows more than you and someone who knows less. Congratulations! mac

You bet! Isn't it great... I remember thinking much the same thing after I finally got to the point when I posted my first image. And it just keeps going. As you're skill grows, your questions get less "newbie-ish", but still people help out and give great answers. Hey, let us know when you post! Look forward to seeing your first posted image...

Yep, you start out asking for info, and then as you learn more, you begin dispensing that same info to people even more "newbie" than yourself.

"And no matter how much you learn, there will always be somone who knows more than you..." boy is that an under statement lol

Passing information on is the reason why we have left footprints on the moon and other intelligent species are still doing much as they have been for thousands and thousands of years. Language is a wondrous ability.

Hehehe.... I remember when I knew absolutely nothing about Poser or any 3D program. It took me such a long time to get the hang of it. Now, it seems so second nature (not quite all of it...LOL), but I still remember what it was like in the beginning ;o). I would have never learned a thing if it weren't for this place and communities like it. A book can only take you so far. And the Poser manual won't take you very far at all....hehehehehe... Laurie

If it weren't for this community, I am 100% certain that I would have given up on Poser....and missed all the fun I'm having now! So I try to help out whenever I can, especially on the questions that involve general art skills, since I've been a professional artist for 30-odd (VERY odd!) years and have made just about every mistake in the book...some more than once ;) It does feel good to help people out, doesn't it? Where would the human race be without altruism?

LOL...I am still learning, really everyday I learn something I should have done instead of this or that. Sharen
