The Poser 4.02 update seems to work only with the US version. Is there a trick to update the french version? I forgot to say I work on Mac

If you try to get the "non-installer" version (and replace the original items) it will seriously mix up things and will certainly make it unstable - for that reason I do not recommend this. So I'm afraid you have to wait for the localized final 4.0.2. I don't know about the french one, but the original german version was 4.0.1 which already solved a lot of problems the US 4.0 was still suffering from - so the patch was much more important for the US version.
