Here is a view of the often compared M2 and V3M. V3M (burly) has longer shins that are more tapered. He is less bulky and wide in the chest and has a shorter abdomen. Thigh length is close in both. V3M has a shorter neck and smaller head and softer features. V3M is a very useful secondary character type, when using 2 males in a scene, such as this, Stonecutter. The DAZ Olympian clothing (with upper part invisible) conformed pretty well to V3M. The headdress is from the Costume Pack CD. Pharaoh is by Anton.

The one on the right is more realistic, looks more like the ordinary population than M2. Admittedly people tend to go overboard with M2 and give him these huge "peaked" deltoids, but you can even see the difference in your subdued version.

Well, I must say, this is an interesting comparison. I think the V3M will continue to have a place in the Poser world even after the release of M3. Variety, after all, is the spice of life. And now, thank you very much, I've got that Bangles song stuck in my head... sigh bonni

V3M looks more realistic to me, as well. M2 looks a bit stylized. Great comparison, thanks!

V3M looks boyish, not like an adult male, shoulders and deltoids are not developed and the chest also. Looks good, not a put down, just an observation.

Great comparison John. I prefer more M2..don't like the V3M

I looked at the picture for a while and something looked odd. Took me a while before I could pinpoint it: Vincent's head is too small. Actually V3's head is too small, it's not just your version, which looks good to me. I like V3M a lot. Funny that an ex-female has less boobs than a male model LOL But her/his head is too small.

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

Believe it or not, V3 has nicer legs (for a guy). I think V3 looks more like a slimmer male than Mike 2 does. But Mikey has his place ;o). I LOVE him with Beth's Boris for big and beefy characters (Hercules, where are you?). Laurie

The problem with the v3 male is that too many try to make him bulky. His chest just isn't built for it, in my honest opinion. Greyline(I think) did an excellent job with the V3M, making him look very manly and sexy, but the v3m in general isn't meant to be bulky. The mesh distorts badly when that happens, just like Mike's does when you try to make him slim. The v3male is good for bishounen, slender prettyboys and androgyns. For muscle men, expect horrible distortions along the shoulders and back, not to mention problems in the chest and thighs. In this pic, I've heavily postworked the back, but it still has issues with the muscles not fitting properly with each other. Note the left arm. Note the joining between the forearm and the upper arm. Slight seam deformation.
