Victoria is a figure from DAZ. Victoria 3 is the latest version, with a lot of good morphing capability. She comes with a version that wears clothes for Victoria 2, as well.

Victoria is now in her 3rd version (the best one) She is a female figure for Poser made by DAZ, she is the standard character for which most clothing and textures are made for. You can find & purchase her here: http://store.daz3d.com/ Victoria 3 is the best one, however she is more advanced, so maybe you should start out with Victoria 2. Best Wishes -SimderZ-

The best deal is to buy the Victoria 2 CD, which is currently on sale at $34.50. You get the V2 model, plus a texture set, hair and clothes. Then, when you decide to upgrade to V3, you'll get a discount on that also.

Yes, the CD is the way to go, it's great value. You can update the hair on the CD with better textures by Kozaburo (They are at DAZ free stuff section or at Koz's site www.digitalbabes2.com, which has other great hair for Vicky as well!) Since V3 got out, I mainly use her, but it's not a bad idea to start with V2 and then upgrade to V3. There is much more free stuff for V2 available as well.

I got into that downward spiral a few weeks ago. Wanted V2. Found the V2 CD. AHA! Buy V2 CD and Mike 2 CD together and get $20 voucher. And then I can purchase upgrade version to V3 for $10 less than base version. Life is good! And then came... THE SALE!

Here's Vicky 3. By the way, I agree that the Victoria 2 CD would be the easiest and most economical way to get started with Vicky 2. You get Vicky, her skin textures, clothes, hair. In short you're off and running easily! Vicky 3 is a very sophisticated model, and can tax some of the less powerful computers. In fact, I'm currently unable to use Vicky 3 on the computer I'm using.

I went straight for Vickie 3 when I started out and I don't regret it. Okay the poor girl was naked for awhile but now her wardrobe is full. Love esther

MY ONLINE COMIC IS NOW LIVE

I aim to update it about once a month.  Oh, and it's free!

something not mentioned- unless you have a very powerfull PC get V2- v3 is a killer on system resources, speed and with all the morphs and such you have to buy sepratly(sp).

lhiannan ( ) posted Fri, 08 August 2003 at 12:26 PM

I have a fully loaded V3, materials set to white, CR2 that takes a few minutes to load. After I twiddle my character out of it, I spawn a face morph and remove all the morphs from the head except what I need (expressions, ect.) and then do the same with the body (remove unneeded morphs). My V3 characters then are much smaller and easier to use than V2. And comparing the price of the 3 V3 packages to the price of the 1 V2 when she was originally released, V3 is cheaper... but I can't complain, with upgrading, PC and a voucher, I got her for $16 :)

Vicky works great in Poser 4 BTW, you just need a good, moderately powerful computer. I run a 2.66ghz P4 with a gig of ram. Plenty for V3 :o). Laurie

HMMMMMM I wonder how good a V4 would look like.

melanie ( ) posted Fri, 08 August 2003 at 8:07 PM

I keep hearing people say that V3 doesn't work well on less powerful computers, but I only have 128 RAM and I've had no problems with Vicki 3 at all. Even with Mike in the scene with her, as well as scenery, hair, textures, and clothes. Maybe I'm just lucky. :) Melanie

JVRenderer ( ) posted Fri, 08 August 2003 at 8:30 PM

Oh no, V4? I've just upgraded my computer and started to get familiar with V3, and now V4? Say it aint so. JV, the slower learner.

Dear gods I hope there won't be a V4. V3 is enough of a nightmare, thankyouverymuch.

Caly ( ) posted Sat, 09 August 2003 at 7:23 AM

I love V3. It is mind boggling to think how improved a V4 could be.

I love V3, too. She's the most realistic and versatile figure yet. I can't wait for Mike 3. Sept. 1, yay! I can't afford him, but I'm getting him anyway. Melanie
