Subject: Rendering shadows against one color backgrounds???

I wanted to render the characters in poser against one color backgrounds but still use the shadows that are visible in the display screen. Is there anyway to do this without using the ground plane? I want to make the background transparent in Photoshop and still have the shadow.

The shadows are just indicators, not real shadows. You would only get those shadows from a light directly overhead that had totally parallel light. If you want to see the shadows and are going to do post work anyway then why not just chroma key the ground plane?
