Subject: Classes and Critics

To Whom It May Concern:
To start, I'm a photographer that uses Photoshop at it's basest and haven't done more than look at programs like Corel, Poser or Bryce. I have a very deep intrest in learning more about Photoshop and in the future would like to learn more about Poser and Bryce. I was told about this site and in the description was quite exticed to hear about the artists that post here and how it was a good place to learn more. So far all I've learned is who's toes not to step on and what topics are the most popular in the main room chat. (and the topics that are most popular aren't graphics related usually) I have taken classes in the past that were full of people who made a real effort to give helpful comments and critques on a persons work, where an image that needed work wasn't praised because the people looking at it liked the person who made it. I was hoping that this would be the place for that and I have found a little of that in the photo galleries but not what I was led to expect.
If it's not impolite of me to ask, is there a plan to hold classes of some sort or to start a true critics area where someone who wants a real (scathing is necessary) critique of their work can post?

If you're here to learn, do so. Be courteous as I see you are, but don't worry about toes, worry about your education. The chat room is basically for chatting (imo), the Forums are about learning. Ask all you need there, demand it if you need to, lol. There are many knowledgable people here, if they see you're wanting to learn, anything else won't truly matter. And, if you want true critique, be sure to keep asking for just that, you'll most likely get it...;o) True Critics Area? Perhaps. Online Classes? Not as of today, but we have lots of tutorials, and make friends with the "archive>search" feature in the Forums! You will find the answer to a ton of your questions in those areas. It's like using a small specific search engine. Get going. AgentSmith Bryce Moderator.

Thanks! I'll try that with my Photoshop questions and once I get a computer that will run Bryce and then can afford to actually get Bryce I'll stop by your forum and do a little asking. -Akire
