What is the best way to get rid of or avoid that glow in certain areas of the figure( like the nose, collarbone etc). Is there any way to do this? I've seen a lot of renders from other people with the same problem, so maybe it's just something to live with or deal with in post work?

  1. Your Skin's 'Reflection' should be Dark Grey(15,15,15) or Pure Black(0,0,0) 2. 'Hightlight' again dark color, but not as much as Above 3. Lower the 'Hightlight size' (Lower than 70%) 4. 'Ambient' should be Black, Unless you are Purposely going for the"Glow in the Dark" effect. (Try it a 235,235,235). You'll see what i mean. 5. Finally, Remove the 'Reflect through Lights' if you still have those "Nasty Glows"... But! Hey, these are my preferred settings! They do eliminate those "Glows" you take about... Note: Only for the "SKIN" part, others like Lips, Nails, etc., should have lighter Reflection & Highlight Colors(But you knew that already!) Marc

heyas; i made a new material for the poser 3 and 4 man and woman, to set the nostrils to black so they don't glow. you can find them at www.poserworld.com. (er... i think they're under textures.)
