Brent, I ran Carrara on NT 4.0 and now run it on win2k, no problems. Or at least it doesn't introduce any problems that aren't already on win9x. P.S. Looks like your links are broken. Eric Winemiller Digital Carvers Guild Freeware and commercial 3D extensions http://digitalcarversguild.com

Ok I ventured into the texture room last night and attempted to texture the spider. I was rather impressed with my results. I next need to figure out how to add details into my models tho. The spider is pretty basic but on my robot I would like to have a few poly's glow and omit light. I havnt got that far yet :) Since I liked how the spider looked I decided to give it a quick render so I could see how the light bounced off the texture. I will try to do another one later b/c I want to try some different lighting other than the default, but the default worked fine this time. I think I managed to grasp motion blur a bit better this time, but I still need to work on it. Also one of the back legs moves funny. This is a result of bad IK I need to fix. The eventual plan is that a robot will run past him and he will get stabbed with that leg...hehehe... cant wait :) Anway depsite that back leg I really like this animation...to me it almost looks erie when the spider sees you. I do plan on doing my test renders different from now on tho. My robot walker only took 2 hours (8sec 640x480 30fps) but this one took 14 hours at that speed. Also I was upgraded to a 9000 at work and it lost the ability to import jpeg sequences...well back to the drawing board. P.S. - Will carrara work ok on a NT system? Anyone know? I would like to be able to work on my 3d commercial at work but I I'm afraid of crashing my NT. http://brenthomer.tripod.com/spidertest.mpeg
