figure out how many pixels in an inch, then go into bryce. file: Render to disk you have output in pixels and dpi there. cheers! M

I think that would be 6300 x 15600 pixels, I've never tried anything that large but I'd go with what drac says.

is there a maximum size bryce can render at though - i think it needs to be 15600 x 6300

I think it's 300dpi for paper, but 72 for screen (ya know, a good place to go would be the printing forum..they deal with this all the time).

I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit

Yeah, I just had to submit 7 4inch by 4inch images for the magazine, and for printing purposes, they needed to be 300dpi tiffs. SO do 300 x 4 = 1,200 by 1,200... long renders... It sucked.

Yup, that would be 6,300 x 15,600 pixels. Bryce can do that. 300 dpi is no problem, you just type in what dpi you need is all. As far as anyone can tell, Bryce has no limits on how large it can render. No one has hit a limit yet, and I tried "rendering to disk" a 20,000x20,000 picture, it worked. It was a grey sphere on a grey background, lol, but it worked. AgentSmith

I regularly render images 3000x2000 and 3200x2400 or 2300x1800 and I don't know of any particular limit except your patience, or if outputting to PICT that has a limit of 4000 pixels for both vertical and horizontal size. Way round that is simply render to something else.

Yeah, anything uncompressed (bmp, tif, etc.)

Woo! that's going to take soooo long to render :) It should be possible tough. But do use the render to disk option, because the normal render can't get higher then 4000 pixels. I've never rendered at a higher res then 4500x6000 :)
