I noticed Sam's 3D Haunted House had nothing for the witches to gage the winds for take off. Now we can't be having witches taking off on down winders and getting all tangled in the poison ivy beds below now can we? So I've brewed up a few Halloween Weather Vanes to resolve their dilemma complete with lots of sharp, pointy parts! Fully posable and even the pole directions can be changed on the fly so if your in Australia you don't have to have your North and South reversed because it was made by some crazy yank. To demonstrate their use I have recruited Grim, charming young chap and quite agile in high places ;p Simply climb to the highest point you can and grasp the MainPost firmly in one hand. Raise it up so the vane becomes the highest point of the building. Now the fun begins, if you make sure that you install your Halloween Weather Vane during an electrical storm then you are sure to Get A Charge out of it!! Have fun and scare safely! Blue Skies - Black Death! ighigh

Thanks for the new props! Unfortunately, I unzipped them into my Poser 5 folder but can't find them in the Props or Figures libraries. Can anyone help? thanks, Linda B

He's misspelt "Characters" as "Charaters" - just drag the Halloween folder from the latter into the former. That's the problem with having to create a dummy Runtime to zip up.

Wheee that is one nifty prop! Thanks a lot!

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

That's really neat!! Thank you ! :o)

igohigh ( ) posted Sat, 13 September 2003 at 3:39 PM

Ooops! Sorry about the misspelling. It was 2am and I guess I should have tested it first :( I'll get that fixed but it will take a while to upload as I'm stuck on dial-up. If anyone else is lost just follow what RHaseltine said and cut-n-paste the CR2, RSR, and PNG(s) from the "Charaters" folder in RuntimeLibraries and put them in any "Characters" (note the missing 'c') folder you wish. Thanks for spotting it RHaseltine, and thanks for the kind words. Now lets scare the heck outta Mike3!!

igohigh ( ) posted Sat, 13 September 2003 at 5:48 PM

Ooops! If you downloaded and installed before 2:00pm PST on 9/13 and are trying to find where the characters are...it's because I mis-spelled the word "Characters" (I dropped the second 'c'). This has been corrected now but you should clean out your HD: 1) cut and paste the CR2s, RSRs, and PNGs from RuntimeCharatersHalloween (note the missing 'c') and put them in any folder you wish in RuntimeCharacters(anywhere) 2) Delete the bogus "Charaters" folder Sorry if this troubled anyone! Why or why do they have to put the C-Key waaaaaay over there? Don't they relise that some of us only have 2 paws with only 8 eight talons each??!

If the characters are "mispelled", maybe the witch did fall into the poison ivy! Many thanks for a nifty prop!
