I've read the manual, however the manual is not too clear. I would like to increase the memory alotment for the Poser 4 program. I'm running P4 on a Dell, and using Windows XP. For what it's worth I have about a gig of memory. The manual says: 1) Make sure Poser is not running. 2) From the Finder, click the poser program icon. Q) What is the "Finder?" 3) Choose File menu > Get Info. The Poser Information dialogue appears. Q) I guess if I knoew what the "Finder" was I could get to the "File menu". Don't ya think? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

These instructions apply to the Mac - you can't alter memory allocation in Windows. What caused you to want to do this? If it's one of the infamous Poser error messages, these are usually misleading.

You can, however, increase the virtual RAM allocation. There's a full and complete description on how to do this at Curious Labs' website. In short, XP's virtual RAM (swap file) management is defaulted to a relatively low setting. You can change it manually to 4 GB, which helps tremendously.
