Want to do something for the man. The mesh for his hat is finished, some work on the Bump-Map is needed. Any suggestions for the uniform: - Mess Dress - White Dress - Blue White Dress In which one you will see him ? Whit the uniform i go to my personell challenge for making conforming clothes. SHARKEY

I'd like to see him in BDU's myself, but that means that you would have to lose that AWESOME hat.... damn ... then i think Blue/White dress is the thing

BDU's would be more of a benificial clothing item (although Marine dress uniforms are by far the sharpest looking of the bunch)... because then your not limited to USMC figures. Not only do Marines wear them, so do Airmen, Soldiers and a limited group of Sailors (security & special forces). In addition, some special police units where a black version of them, so... you would cover a much wider range of clothing with options for mapping. -Rob

Dress blues definately.... The whites are a simular cut and will only need a texture adjustment.... how about the dress overcoat? >8 ) Wizzard

Very nice image you got started, if you would like a few comments on the "cover" from an ex-marine here is my 2 cents worth. First off, I would have to say ditch the bump map, since it is smooth, and secondly, the emblem itself is a solid gold color. Otherwise I think you have nailed the detail perfectly, especially the top design of the cover. You get a big old "Ohh Rah" from me. Mark

RBTWIZ Rob Thanks for your info about the possibilities for other branchs. I own personally a marine-officers, navy-officers and army-officers hat. And i have seen that this hats looks close together in the shape. What i planning is to do for this branches the hat, each of them has applyed a morph to change from officers hat to nco's and turn on visor-insignias for higher rank's. MASTERYODA Mark I'm a little bit confused about the solid gold emblem. I have an original of this hat, on which the emblem is solid gold, but not the continent on the globe and the wire wraped around the anchor. I hope i have an original, because i have payd 170.-- US-Dollars for it. Have anybody of you a foto of the medal-ribbon-bar who is attached on the breast-pocket ? SHARKEY

Do you spread the character when you finished him? It is "THE THING" I need for my current Project!!!!

Medal Ribbon Bar varies with service record. Check the official military sites. They sometimes have "how to" charts for how medals, awards, decoratoins, and insignia are to be worn. Service/achievement ribbons, qualification badges, and insignia of rank/branch are a service members individual visible service record. They say where the service member has been, what they have done, what they can do, and how good they are - if you know how to read them.

Ethan As allways i post this character on freestuff. Hope you have time with your project, because i have the luck to go in holiday at friday to france for windsurfing. Means this would be finished in late august. Huolong Thanks for the info on the ribbon-bars. Have found some sites, not with informations about that but with some images. SHARKEY
