Subject: A birth on the beach - but no good pics of it... but

Interesting morning walk today. The sea turtles are hatching, - and we saw a dozen of the little babies! :) They were taken care of by one of the sea turtle patrols (yeah.. I know... sound strange. *lol* but they are protecting the species from extingsion), because they're not supposed to hatch early in the morning. They'd be a far to easy meal for hungry birds. So the two women picked up the ones that had knocked wholes in their egg shells, - and took them home for safekeeping till this evening, when the little babies would have a safer trip out to the deeper waters. The pelicans sure were flying low over the turtle nests, - and I'm sure they'd really appreciate a baby turtle for dessert. The pic here is a composite of two pics from today; - but the one in the gallery (link) is the spectacular sunrise from this morning.

I read somewhere in a comment in Renderosity.."We have all had Our Quota of Sunrises and Sunsets"...aah...poor fool....this is very Beautiful. Sunrise is My time of Day :) I never tire of them! Well done. Viva la Turtle!
