I know that this is the Product SHOWCASE forum, but couldn't find another forum more appropo. Moderator, feel free to move to proper one. :) I am preparing to start making a series of models based on the minor, hardly-known Harry Potter book/movie series - I'm sure most of you have never heard of it. ;) My dilemma is thus; there are two roads to take. I can avoid infringement by not using the names within the books/movies directly, but as something "related" to the idea of HP. Or I can try to obtain licensing rights, probably at a hefty cost - probably too hefty for a single, little individual - so that names can be used within full legality. But, there is a twist. To a certain extent, using the former method, some of this can be done. But other stuff (like quidditch) will be difficult to cloak as not-directly HP since it is. I'd love to have full rights so that the models will be "official", which may even lead to guidelines and resources for doing them correctly. Does anyone have any advice on how to proceed? Thank you kindly! Kuroyume
