Subject: Which comes first, texture or pose?

Once Michael 3 is placed on the board is it better to pose him first and then apply the desired texture or texture first and then pose? I went through all the read-me's I can find and can not find the answer...... The help will be appreciated.

Usually a good idea to texture, clothe and prop, then pose. Poses make it more difficult to add things

First I put the texture -- that adds to the overall feeling of my character. Than pose, and than cloths and props. Because I put a lot of time into posing -- I like to see what I do.
