Hello everybody ! Still have a lot of questions : 1/I'm trying to make a short cartoon : my characters are created in Poser, and landscapes in Vue 3 of course. But, does anybody have an idea how to mix both of them to create an animation ? 2/ How can I do if I want to import 2D image and make it look like a 3D object ? 3/ Do you know any books about Vue 3 and any training courses in France ? Many many thanks for your replies Narissa

heyas; 1... you can't import poser animation scenes into vue, or vue animation/landscape scenes into poser. IF your characters or motions are very simple ones, you could set up the poser figure in vue, using vue's heirarchy sort of deal that lets you move things as if they have joints (see the swimming fish tutorial in the manual). this would only work for very basic things; and keep in mind that vue doesn't preserver the welds between body parts, so they will split apart if moved very far. your best bet is to composite the animations in a third program. or, if the camera remains stationary, use the vue scene as a backdrop in poser. (check the animation forum for more help.) 2... you can make a fake 3d object from a 2d picture by pasting it onto a plane, and using a transparency map that 'cuts out' the object in the image. (see the tutorial on making the sign in the vue manual.) make sure the lighting in the picture matches, or at least doesn't clash with, the lighting in your scene. 3... can't help you there, sorry. :)
