I am posting these dissapointing textures. As you see in the pose, blech! But the texture map is exactly what I liked. Did I just miss doing a trans map to make the feather boa look like a feather boa??? Oh I am so confused lol.

Yes, a trans map will give you the "feather boa look" Turn the texture into an inverted b/w picture: The white background should be black (will be transparent in the rendered picture) and the actual texture should be white (will be solid in the picture). The transition between the black and white in the lower edges of the textured parts should give you a nice boa look, especially if you can get a greyscale there that gives a semi transparent look.

Posting this as a start, to show the principle. You need to paint over the textured parts as white, otherwise they will show as semi transparent (might make the clothes a little sexier than intended, LOL) Leave the greyscale as is in the lower parts (the boa) and it should look nice as applied as a trans map.

Very cool, I know how to greyscale an image, but not inverted b/w. Would it be to much to ask if you could explain that part? Thanks for the tip about painting the non trans part white, hmmm it would be cute lingerie though wouldn't it? lol

Foxseelady, depends on what graphics program you're using, but in Photoshop, you can just hit Ctrl+I to invert colours. IIRC, in PSP you can do the same.

I used PaintShop Pro 7, it has an "Negative Image" command in the "Colors" menu.
