I don't have the page or theme thread ready, been busy with work.... But a heads up... Figure out how to make a moon in your image, yeah, its Halloween. Sphere with a moon image mapped, backrop, whatever, but there has to be a moon. I'll post a tut on how to map a nasa moon image to a sphere and light it up in the background without effecting the scene lighting. Also, the challenge will be longer this time. We won't vote until close to Halloween. That should be an extra week to prepare and enter. By the way, this is a moon bmp mapped to a sphere.

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

I see the moon too, nice post. Anyone ever hear of a Comanche Moon? If you get a chance go out and watch the moon rise on the 10th it will be full.

I just want a tutorial on how you got the bas relief effect and then pewterized it. That is a very striking image. So for the challenge, it doesn't matter if it's our moon or any old moon, or even a suite of moons (like around Jupiter) as long as a moon is prominent somewhere in the image? Umm... does it also need to refer to Hallowe'en? "The Witches of Karres" is a delightful book, but I don't think anybody has done "Witches of Jupiter". ;^) Carolly

Ah I can see the moon now :o) It was so huge that I didn't even see it AS a moon :o) And yes that pewter technique could be great to learn. I THINK Eric told us about it the first time he posted this pic though....

Thanks to Cyphre for the moon prop and especially to zippy for the astounding castle figure (both in freestuff).
