Greetings, In my freetime, I would have liked to play around with poser, let us say...like making a new character for Victoria...that one can load then.... I am using Poser Pro Pack. So does somebody please have an idea of how to get even started, I dont think I am a fool, but I am confused right now. I think I found out that I have to create a new cr2 file, so the figure would be in the figure tab. Is that correct? So maybe one of you guys has an idea of a tutorial or a book or anything just to help me get started... Love Adama

I wish I could help you dear..I'm still learning myself. do you think that poser pro pack is easier to use when creating a new character than say poser 5? --Essie

Hi Essie!! As you are having the same problem as me, maybe we can join together and find out more?? I have no idea if Pro Pack or Poser 5 is better!!! I found out we have to deal with those cr2 files somehow. Maybe too with magnets, then save it as a new body morph. That is what I think. Maybe you want to join with me. Just tell me. Or maybe we could buy a book??? Thank you for the reply. Love Adama

alright there are two main ways to create a new 'character' for an existing model. You can use existing morphs and create a face and body setting to make your character. You can distribute this setting for most models as a cr2 file. Since the cr2 contians the morphs, you CANNOT do this for commercial morphs such as V2, V3, etc. To create a new cr2: once your figure is shaped and textured the way you like, hit the + symbol in the figures library. Give it a name and save. To distribute, go and copy the figure.cr2 & figure.rsr or figure.png, to the directory that you will zip for distribution. The OTHER method Create your own unique morphs using other modeling programs, magnets, etc. Load those on the figure and distribute. Also, remember that skin texture can chaneg the look of a figure a great deal. The best effects come with a good comination of the methods. Hope this helps a wee bit.

thanks Lyrra, I will give some of that a try as well. I've been pretty sick lately so I haven't been on much, but I'm catching up. --Essie
