Thanks Irene....that's a prj file....I have no idea what that is...:>(

Kelderek ( ) posted Fri, 03 October 2003 at 7:10 AM

I think that .prj is a project file for 3D Studio Max (equivalent to a Poser pz3). I doubt that Poser can read that...

steveshanks ( ) posted Fri, 03 October 2003 at 7:17 AM

Not sure about the texture but i can do you the tub pretty quick Dizzie....Worst is we used to have one of those in the gatage till recent...Steve

steveshanks ( ) posted Fri, 03 October 2003 at 7:18 AM

gatage =garage :o)

Firebirdz ( ) posted Fri, 03 October 2003 at 7:21 AM

I've used that exact same prop in my image "Mind if I join you ?" I imported the file into poser and it worked like a charm actually.

Michael_C ( ) posted Fri, 03 October 2003 at 7:31 AM

Dizzie, I can convert the tub to an obj with 3D Explorer. Message me and I'll e-mail it to you Zipped (about 500K).

Thanks Michael! I found it on the site in dxf and was able to import it....but I had to export it as an obj and run it thru UVMapper twice to get it where it would accept a texture. Then there's those ridges ....plus it doesn't have any handles...so YES Steve, I want it for sure! It's great....Cherokee, that square one is too kewl!!

The thing inside the tub is a.. .Well dunno it's english name but it would translate to something like "washing board". It's used in the pre-washing-machine days to rub the clothes on when you wash it by hand. you can see it on the pic, hanging on the wall. Usually made by a wooden frame with ruffled metal in the middle :o)

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

Dizzie, that's a washboard. You're probably too young to remember when every home had one. If I exported only the tub from 3D exploration, so if Steve's tub doesn't work out let me know.

I'm 51 so I know all too well what a washboard is....LOL..but I've never seen one so tiny...all I've ever seen was much bigger than the tub like the one you've posted in that pic from Greenland...so I wasn't sure what it was...thanks for all the info!

Marque ( ) posted Fri, 03 October 2003 at 11:20 AM

Ack, no doubt Dizzie! Guess they use that one to wash their socks...lol I've actually had to use one and I'm only 49....was just too broke for a washer and no coin for the laundramat..heh Marque

Marque ( ) posted Fri, 03 October 2003 at 11:42 AM

I would love that tub Steve, can't resubscribe to poserworld for some reason. Just got off the phone with Allen and we couldn't get it dealt with. Will try later. Marque

Great Steve, thanks... I'll take it also, love these kind of props! I have the real thing round and square and I have my grandmothers full size adult bathtub. Thanks again !

Until I went away to college, I use to wash undies and such on one until my knuckles bled. I'm 52. This is the sort of prop which Cal has made. I'm pretty certain that I have both tub and washboard in my archives. Since I had to use the beastly thing, I don't regard it romantically at all, and would never hang one on the wall as decoration. TrekkieGrrrl ( ) posted Sat, 04 October 2003 at 12:12 PM

LOL Hauksdottir :o) The picture of the stuff hanging on the wall is from a museum, just to get things straight :o)
